What’s wrong with most quality training?

Too often quality training dollars are wasted. It’s not intentional, but quality control methodology requires an in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to transmit that knowledge in a manner that helps people understand.

Many programs rely on having technical experts develop and teach, but the subject-matter-experts may not fully understand how adults learn. In their passionate quest for improvement, many technical experts throw out solutions before the audience buys into the need. Long lectures are peppered with statistical charts, but the trainees soon feel they have been sentenced to such a training experience. Requirements get checked off, but somehow under those circumstances, knowledge never quite gets transmitted, and corporate manufacturing goes on as usual...
